At Flix, we offer a tech-driven environment where innovation meets real-world impact, with competitive pay, strong growth opportunities, and a culture of collaboration and ownership.

We're looking for a motivated and skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our Team Greenrock – Demand Division

Our Tech team owns Flix's Revenue Management System (RMS), a production system with a direct commercial impact. We are looking for a colleague who will play an active role in shaping the next generation of the RMS by leveraging their deep expertise in revenue management.

This is a hands-on senior role in a non-greenfield environment: delivering meaningful change requires care, conviction, and patience.

About the Role

  • Work closely with commercial stakeholders to translate business requirements into well-scoped projects and respond to operational inquiries.
  • Translate revenue management theory and industry best practices into concrete, testable improvements, from idea and experimentation through to production rollout.
  • Co-own the evolution of the entire system through regular collaboration and discussions with peers across your team and neighboring engineering teams.
  • Contribute to the technical health, reliability, and observability of the existing system.

About You

Education and Revenue Management expertise (must-have)

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
  • Solid theoretical foundation in RM: demand modeling, dynamic pricing, and network revenue management.
  • Applied experience with RM or pricing tech solutions in transportation, travel, hospitality, retail, or a comparable domain is a big plus.

Engineering and data craft

  • Strong hands-on Python (including NumPy, Polars, Pandas, SciPy) and comfort with SQL on large datasets.
  • Production-code experience is welcome but not required; what we expect is genuine interest in writing, reviewing, and maintaining code that runs reliably in production.

Soft skills

  • Excellent communication: you explain complex quantitative concepts or optimisation trade-offs to technical and non-technical, commercial audiences alike, and you enjoy educating and advocating for sound RM solutions.
  • Senior judgment: you scope your own work, balance short-term fixes with long-term direction, and respect the constraints of an existing system.

We recognize that everyone carries a unique set of valuable skills and experiences. If you think you could have an impact even though you don't meet 100% of the requirements, we still encourage you to apply. We want to hear from you!

What We Offer

  • Travel perks: 12 free Flix vouchers + 12 discount vouchers for friends & family.
  • Work from (M)Anywhere: Depending on your role, work from another location for up to 60 days per year.
  • Hybrid work model: We are an office-first company, but we offer flexibility to balance work and life.
  • Wellbeing support: Access confidential 1:1 counselling, courses, and stress management for yourself and up to four family members.
  • Learning & Development: Take advantage of language classes, training courses, and expert-led sessions to grow your skills.
  • Mentoring Program: Connect with experienced colleagues to gain insights and accelerate your career.
