About the Team

Our international and agile team is searching for a motivated person to work as an exceptionally motivated Institutional Project Manager (m/f/d) in the Institutional Projects Team, part of the Program Management Department. In the Institutional Projects Team, we work with ESA and other partners on externally funded projects. We support the definition, study, and planning for the development of future technologies, systems, engines, and vehicles. Your Tasks

  • Take ownership and manage RFA’s institutional projects funded by external stakeholders (e.g. ESA, European Commission, governmental institutions, etc) on-time, on-quality and on-budget
  • Plan, schedule and monitor milestones, deliverables, and budgets for the funded projects
  • Take charge of technical writing and delivering project deliverables (e.g. design files, test plans and reports, presentations)
  • Lead the work and communicate effectively between the different internal teams and partners
  • Coordinate with other departments to generate and provide input to projects’ deliverables
  • Support Business Development and contribute to proposal writing for funded projects
  • Support the technical work of the funded projects, including the creation of development roadmaps for future vehicles and technologies, mission and technical requirements, design studies and trade-offs, creation of system architectures, preliminary concepts, etc.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Aerospace or Space Engineering or similar
  • Work experience in project management, in the space industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of European funding programs and proposal processes (FLPP, Boost!, ELC etc.) is a BIG plus
  • You bring technical affinity and you are an enthusiast about New Space
  • Strong writing and formatting skills with good command of Microsoft Office
  • Business-fluent English, both spoken and written (all day-to-day activities are conducted in English). German fluency is a plus.
  • Strong time management, a team-player attitude, and emotional intelligence
  • Independent, proactive, and structured approach to work
  • Cost and risk awareness, along with strong business acumen, complete your profile
