
The associate data analyst will examine data systems to determine relationships and meaning as they relate to business and technical processes. They are responsible for documenting findings and working on assigned tasks or portions of projects under supervision.
The role requires a degree with less than 2 years of experience, or a combination of education and work experience totaling 4-6 years. Candidates should be working towards mastering skills in SQL, data governance, ELT/ETL strategies, and data quality assessment.
Job Characteristics: This is an entry level professional position - employee demonstrates the ability to examine data systems and determine relationships and meaning of data, as it relates to business and system technical processes, and document accordingly. The employee should be working towards mastering knowledge and skills in one or more of the following data analysis areas: SQL language usage, data governance and security practices, ELT/ETL strategy, quality-of-data evaluation and assessment, and data requirements generation through research and discovery.
Education/Work Experience: Typically requires a degree and fewer than 2 years’ experience; or no degree and 4-6 years combined education and equivalent work experience (typically 1 year experience = 1 year education).
Independence Level/Reports to: Works under supervision on assigned tasks or portions of projects. Typically reports to Data Analyst Manager or more senior technical leader.
