The Data Analyst partners with IT, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights, maintain high data integrity, and support the operation and evolution of ECRI’s data management platforms. This role provides hands-on support across ECRI’s Master Data Management (MDM) platform (Semarchy), content operations analytics (Contentful), Power BI reporting, and enterprise data governance activities. It serves as a key operational contributor to the Data, Analytics & Applied AI team, enabling data-driven decision-making and sustaining the quality and reliability of ECRI’s data assets. Essential Functions Statement(s): • Master Data Management Platform Operations & Support Support ongoing MDM platform configuration, build activities, and release deployments in collaboration with senior team members using standard development tools (e.g., code editors, version control). Assist with data stewardship workflows, including reviewing match and merge candidates, resolving survivorship exceptions, and validating master records. Develop and maintain basic ETL scripts and data transformation logic to support source system ingestion and master data processing. Monitor and troubleshoot MDM data integration pipelines, escalating issues and coordinating resolution with IT. Document MDM business rules, data mappings, and configuration changes to sustain an accurate and current data dictionary. Support onboarding of additional source systems into the master domain as ECRI’s integration footprint evolves.   • Content Operations Analytics Develop and maintain metrics and usage analytics for ECRI’s content assets using command-line interface (CLI) tooling and scripting to extract, transform, and report on content data. Profile and validate content metadata to support taxonomy migration initiatives and related content classification efforts. Automate routine content data extraction and reporting tasks through CLI-based workflows, reducing manual effort and improving consistency.   • Power BI Reporting & Analytics Delivery Participate in Power BI report development, assisting with the design, build, and maintenance of dashboards and reports across business domains. Support the Power BI Enterprise Hub by contributing to workspace organization, dataset management, and report lifecycle activities. Assist with data modeling, DAX measure development, and semantic layer construction for new reporting requirements. Fulfill ad hoc data pull and analysis requests from business leaders that do not yet warrant a formal reporting engagement. Conduct data quality assessments in Google BigQuery and connected source systems, identifying anomalies, gaps, and integrity violations.   • Analytics Engineering & Data Validation Develop and maintain reusable BigQuery views and/or SQL-based data models that serve as the foundation for Power BI reporting and self-service analytics. Own and expand the data validation test suite for key reporting datasets, including row count checks, null analysis, referential integrity, and business logic verification. Support data integration, migration, and transformation activities as part of enterprise data and ongoing application modernization and/or transformation initiatives. Prepare and validate structured datasets for analytical, AI/ML, and evaluation use cases.   • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Provide subject matter expertise on data sources, data flows, and reporting best practices to stakeholders and team members. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data processes, reporting capabilities, and data literacy across the organization. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analytics, BI, data quality, and MDM.   Additional Responsibilities: • Other duties, as assigned. Accountability Metrics:   • Requirements which meet the needs of the market as defined by the business   • On time high quality delivery of projects.  QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS Experience: • 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, data quality, or a related field.   • Hands-on experience with SQL and a cloud data warehouse (e.g., BigQuery or equivalent) for data extraction, profiling, and validation.   • Demonstrated experience with Power BI, including report development, basic data modeling, and workspace interaction.   • Experience with data quality assessment, data cleansing, and remediation techniques.   • Exposure to Master Data Management (MDM) platforms or comparable data management systems is highly desirable.   • Experience working with CLI-based tooling or scripting environments for data extraction, automation, or reporting tasks preferred.   • Beginner-to-intermediate familiarity with ETL concepts and lightweight data transformation scripting preferred.   • Experience working in healthcare, life sciences, or a regulated industry preferred.   • Familiarity with data governance principles, data cataloging, or metadata management is a plus.   • Experience using Jira or similar issue tracking tools to manage tasks and releases.   Education:  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience Computer Skills:  • Required Proficient with SQL. Proficient with Microsoft Power BI for report development and dataset interaction. Proficient with Visual Studio Code or a comparable code editor for script development and ETL authoring. Familiarity with command-line interface (CLI) tooling and shell scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) for data extraction and automation tasks. Proficient with Atlassian Jira and Confluence or comparable tools. Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).   • Preferred: Experience with Google BigQuery Working knowledge of Semarchy SDP or a comparable MDM platform Familiarity with Contentful or a comparable headless CMS and its CLI tooling Exposure to basic ETL concepts and lightweight data pipeline development Certification & Licenses:  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (preferred)   • Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) (optional) POSITION COMPENSATION The salary range for new employees in this position is $71,658 - $87,781.00, based on background, experience, and skills. In addition, new employees in this position are eligible for all of our benefit offerings, including, but not limited to, health and welfare benefits, 403(B) retirement savings, and paid time off (PTO). PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position operates in a remote environment and requires the individual to remain in a stationary position, whether sitting or standing, before a desk or other fixed workspace, most of their workday. In addition, this position requires the individual to occasionally move about their workspace to access and inspect work-related materials, such as file cabinets with physical files and standard office equipment. This position requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, including, but not limited to, a laptop, keyboard, mouse, webcam, and phone, as well as effectively communicate information and ideas to a wide variety of audiences in written and oral form.
