What You’ll Do:

We’re looking for a Data Analyst (12-month contract) to support store operations and merchandising teams. This role is hands-on and technical, focused on building datasets, analyzing performance, and enabling better day-to-day decisions in stores.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extract and manipulate large datasets (sales, inventory, product, store performance) using SQL

  • Clean and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency across reporting

  • Build and maintain datasets and data models to support reporting and analytics

  • Develop dashboards and reports (Power BI) to track store and merchandising performance

  • Support ad hoc analysis on assortment, pricing, promotions, and inventory movement

  • Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in store execution and product performance

  • Work with stakeholders to translate business questions into data requirements and outputs

  • Troubleshoot data issues and support ongoing improvements in data quality and reporting processes

Contract Scope / Expectations

  • Deliver clearly defined outputs (datasets, dashboards, analysis) within timelines

  • Ramp quickly on existing data models, tools, and business context

  • Operate independently on technical tasks with guidance from senior team members

  • Support short-term priorities such as reporting builds, data validation, and deep-dive analysis

What You Bring:

  • Degree or certification in Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science, or related field

  • 1–2 years of analytics experience or relevant co-op/internship

  • Strong SQL skills (joins, aggregations, data transformation)

  • Advanced Excel (data manipulation, pivot tables)

  • Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools for dashboarding

  • Ability to work with large, complex datasets and ensure data quality

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset

  • Clear communication — able to explain outputs in simple business terms

  • Python for data processing or automation is an asset

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Databricks, Snowflake) is an asset

  • Exposure to retail, merchandising, or operations analytics is an asset

  • Understanding of basic data modelling concepts is an asset

Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid: In-office 4 days a week)

Broadband Salary Range: $64,000 – $106,000.

Our typical hiring range is between $64,000 and $85,000. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. We're committed to attracting top talent.  For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
