The Role: 

Free Market Health is seeking a Data Analyst to deliver high-value data and analytics solutions for both internal and external business partners. We are looking for a curious problem solver who enjoys working with complex data and helping solve business challenges in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

In this role, you will analyze healthcare data, create meaningful insights, develop visualizations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic and operational decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively to a variety of stakeholders.

 
What You’ll Do: 

  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to support business and analytical needs.
  • Develop an understanding of the business, customers, and healthcare landscape to drive analytical value.
  • Apply analytical techniques to solve business problems and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Analyze claims, authorization, and other healthcare data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential issues.
  • Prepare analyses and presentations related to operational, clinical, and financial program performance.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations that communicate key insights to business stakeholders.
  • Support data quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within the analytics function.
  • Collaborate with data and engineering teams to define requirements and support analytics use cases.
  • Manage multiple priorities while contributing to a variety of analytical projects.

 

What We’re Looking For:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an analytical role.
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to write efficient queries and analyze data.
  • Experience with Tableau or a similar business intelligence/data visualization platform.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in healthcare analytics.
  • Experience working with healthcare datasets such as claims, eligibility, authorization, or related data.
  • Experience in specialty pharmacy or a related healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting data-driven business decisions and delivering analytical solutions.
