Acentra Health is looking for a Business Analyst (MES) to join our growing team.


Job Summary:

 

The Business Analysis, Associate shall assist in analyzing business problems, identifying gaps, and providing business support in areas around basic to moderate information systems. This role support with several requirements throughout the project life cycle and involves an understanding of applicable business/provider enrollment systems and related subsystems; provide day-to-day support on State program activities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support requirements and design sessions, including scribing, by documenting discussion, tracking, and reporting on action items, and supports client facing requirements/design presentations and demos.
  • Apply business analysis knowledge to review and analyze systems problems to identify solutions.
  • Develop documentation (e.g., use cases, workflow diagrams, gap analysis) related to basic to moderate complex projects and information systems.
  • Creates and updates requirements documentation using standard templates.
  • Supports requirements lifecycle including documentation, traceability, and validation activities.
  • Supports testing activities including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and implementation support.
  • Analyze user and business requirements using defined frameworks and standard procedures.
  • Uses standard BA tools (e.g., Jira, Visio, Excel) and follows defined processes and templates to support documentation, tracking, and analysis activities.
  • Supports communication between business stakeholders and technology teams under guidance, while building understanding of client needs to drive effective outcomes.
  • Works effectively in a structured, team-oriented environment following established processes and standards.
  • Completes assigned tasks with guidance and is accountable for accuracy of individual deliverables.
  • Builds foundational knowledge of business processes, systems, and healthcare domain through on-the-job learning.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ years of business analysis experience or related work experience.
  • Knowledge ofSystems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Knowledge in healthcare industry with knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, or healthcare verticals.
  • knowledge of MS-Word, Excel, Visio with working knowledge of the rest of the MS Office suite of applications.
  • Ability to elicit, document, analyze, and verify requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in cross-functional team environments.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, or requirements gathering sessions.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Sharepoint, or similar tools.

Experience in Lieu of Degree

 

For non-clinical roles, or when not required by the contract specifically, the Company acknowledges that practical, hands-on experience can provide skills and competencies equivalent to formal education. As such, in cases where a Bachelor's degree may be required, the Company will accept a minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree. In instances where the candidate has an Associate's degree, the Company will accept a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.
