Deliver the software services that connect cutting edge data science models to real world applications in the power utilities industry.


The successful Full Stack Software Engineer (Onboarding Systems) Co-op pairs Python, Typescript, and React with cloud-first application design, has experience working on RESTful APIs, building on AWS or other cloud systems, and is excited to modernize the grid. Join our collaborative Software Engineering Team at LineVision, named to the Built In Best Places to Work in Boston for three years running.


What will you do?

Core Responsibilities and Key Performance Objectives

  • Build out features across major software components in our team’s scope, contributing to both frontend and backend improvements.
  • Design, plan, and execute small-to-medium project initiatives, collaborating with team members to deliver impactful solutions from start to finish.
  • Provide significant contributions to the development and enhancement of tooling for LineVision’s newly deployed sensors and associated models.
  • Conduct regular pull request reviews, building proficiency in code review and feedback, with the goal of confidently approving PRs within your first month.

  • Own Your Work & Software Health: Take full ownership of your features and overall code health, ensuring quality and taking responsibility for any issues that arise in your work.
  • Provide Precise, Thoughtful Feedback: Give constructive feedback in code reviews, providing approval when confident in the changes, holding a high standard for quality, especially when using AI tooling.
  • Execute with Accuracy & Accountability: Adhere closely to requirements, proactively resolving questions with stakeholders and escalate decisions as appropriate. Aim for precision over speed, with quality in mind.
  • Engage Effectively with Stakeholders: Communicate openly with stakeholders to understand their needs, align on goals, and resolve issues quickly to ensure smooth progress on tasks.
  • Prioritize Quality & Craftsmanship: Value code that is precise, readable, and impactful. Regularly self-review work and consistently aim to deliver well-crafted, thoughtful solutions.


Work Schedule

The ideal candidate would be available from January 19-August 27 2027, working 40 hours a week. All co-ops will work from LineVision’s Charlestown, MA headquarters 2-4 days per week, with specific schedules determined in collaboration with your direct manager.

LineVision has a standard US holiday schedule, and up to a week of additional unpaid time off is permissible. Upon successful internship or co-op completion, you will be considered for a full-time position upon graduation.


Compensation: $25 per hour
