Why run a job search over WhatsApp?
Most job searches fail for a boring reason: they happen somewhere you do not already go. A job board is a destination. You have to remember it, open it, log in, re-apply your filters, and read a list that is mostly the same as yesterday’s. That is a chore, and chores get skipped — which is why so many searches quietly die in week three. Not because the roles stopped existing, but because the checking stopped happening.
WhatsApp is not a destination. It is already open. Putting the search there removes every step between having a thought about your career and acting on it. You are waiting for a train, you wonder whether anything new came up in Berlin, you type one line, and half a minute later you have three roles with match scores and the option to apply to one of them. An assistant, not an alert
