Salary Range: $98,738 - $148,107 per year
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday - Friday
Status: Permanent Full-Time

Position Summary
As a member of the UHN FM-PRO Redevelopment, under the Medical Imaging Capital project team, the Project Manager role will manage, organize and orchestrate medical equipment related projects from planning through implementation to project close-out.

The immediate focus for this position will be the development and implementation of UHN Medical Imaging approved capital projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The successful applicant is an excellent communicator, detailed and tactful in managing stakeholder expectations with considerable experience integrating cutting edge technology in existing building conditions, leading the development of the project and project team (both internal and external) through to successful completion.

Duties

Under the direction of Manager or designate, the principle responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to effectively manage project start-up
  • User group consultation scope process
  • Performing financial management activities
  • Evolve schedules and specifications
  • Preparing contracts and negotiating revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and contractors
  • Hiring and supervising the activities of contractors, subcontractors and / or trades people
  • Performing quality management responsibilities
  • Performing administrative and financial management responsibilities to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the department; performing cross functional duties as assigned and / or requested
  • Performing other duties consistent with the job classification

Qualifications

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree program in architecture, engineering science or recognized equivalent
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of practical and related experience with medical equipment replacement in a construction related environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Building codes and standards applicable to acute healthcare environments.
  • Construction project management experience in an acute health care research hospital facility preferred.
  • Knowledge of Broader Public Sector Procurement Directives and Supply Chain Guidelines or procurement process is an asset. 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation required.
  • Strong and controlled verbal, visual, and written communication skills, to both internal and external stakeholders required. 
  • Computer literacy and the ability to use Microsoft Office applications required
