The analyst supports the bank's financial stability by managing general ledger accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate accounting for investments and assets. Additionally, they assist in maintaining the bank's compliance program, monitoring regulatory risks, and coordinating with internal and external auditors.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in a finance-related field and at least three years of experience in banking, accounting, or compliance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and a thorough understanding of banking regulations and accounting principles are required.
The Compliance & Financial Analyst plays a critical role in supporting Pinnacle Bank's financial stability, regulatory compliance, and operational integrity. This position combines financial analysis, accounting responsibilities, risk management, regulatory reporting, and compliance oversight. The analyst works closely with management, regulators, auditors, and various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective risk management, and adherence to applicable banking laws, regulations, policies, and ethical standards.
Primary Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Accounting
Balance General Ledger accounts daily and monthly.
Manage Accounts Payable and ARP.
Prepare journal entries for investment transactions, reconcile investment accounts monthly, and complete month-end entries.
Prepare and submit the FR2644 Report to the Federal Reserve on a weekly basis.
Manage prepaid, accrued expense, and fixed asset accounting systems.
Assist with quarterly Call Report preparation and submission, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Develop, maintain, and analyze financial models, including:
Income statements
Balance sheets
Cash flow projections
Profitability analysis
Investment performance analysis
Sensitivity and scenario testing
Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Assist with other accounting and financial reporting functions as assigned.
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
Assist the Compliance Officer/Internal Auditor in administering and maintaining the Bank's compliance and integrity program.
Support oversight of compliance with applicable banking laws, regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards.
Assist with identifying, assessing, and monitoring compliance risks throughout the organization.
Help ensure appropriate policies, procedures, internal controls, and codes of conduct are implemented and maintained.
Participate in compliance reviews, audits, examinations, monitoring activities, and risk assessments.
Assist with audit and examination tracking, including monitoring corrective actions and follow-up activities.
Coordinate with departments including:

Human Resources
Information Technology
Operations
Security
to support compliance initiatives and regulatory requirements.
Assist in preparing compliance-related reports for executive management and the Board of Directors.
Participate in committees and working groups responsible for implementing compliance and risk management initiatives.
Support monitoring and auditing processes designed to evaluate:
Compliance program effectiveness
Regulatory compliance
Internal control effectiveness
Ethical business practices
Assist in investigating compliance concerns and ensuring identified issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
Handle Bank Secrecy Act monitoring.
Handle Bank Security monitoring.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a professional manner.
