Description

  

Trancy Logistics America, a leading provider of international forwarding  and warehouse management services, is seeking an Operations Manager at its San Antonio Distribution Center. 


Supervisory:

  

· Responsible for management leadership and guidance over the Company’s operations in San Antonio, TX. Activities include establishing policies, setting goals and handling day-to-day management activities, interfacing with customers, etc.

· Responsible for customer satisfaction with all on-site projects. Works with customer staff and supervisory team to ensure all customer concerns are addressed.

· Responsible for operational improvement projects to meet annual performance targets set by the customer and internally.

· Directs investigation of service failures (delivery and safety) to determine root cause and appropriate countermeasures.

· Supervises monthly invoicing process to ensure all charges are invoiced accurately and on-schedule. Negotiates structure and cost for additional work requests from customer.

· Ensures daily operational needs are met by directing supervisors and team leaders as required. Able to manage operations directly as needed.

· Directs the measurement of each department’s performance and productivity. Establishes new metrics as appropriate.

· Ensures that all policies and procedures are developed, business plan strategies, timelines, goals, etc. are monitored and followed.

· Monitors and reviews employees’ work activities through individual meetings and group meetings to ensure that all work activities are proceeding smoothly to plan.

· Works directly with both staff and customers on a variety of issues.

· Delegates and advises employees regarding the Company’s philosophy and business practices.

· Motivates, develops and mentors employees for improved performance.

· May attend outside meetings such as company group meetings, seminars, conventions and conferences for both information sharing and learning purposes.

· Communicates and coordinates information both in writing and orally on a regular basis with staff, senior management, partner companies, customers, etc. May, at times, share information with external consultants working on behalf of the Company.

· Responsible for tracking and reporting time and attendance in Paylocity.

· Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

· Follows up to complete any assigned work.

· Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.

· Reports all irregular issues and problems to supervisor for solution.

· Complies with all company policies and procedures.

· Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.

Requirements

  

Five to ten years of related work experience which includes managing multiple work groups and working directly in a warehouse management environment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and automotive production methods. Associates degree or up to two years of college or equivalent experience. Forklift experience is recommended. Experience with safety procedures and training, including forklift training, is highly recommended. Experience with Warehouse Management Software is preferred. Experience with general office equipment including phones, computers, copier, etc. Experience with Microsoft office. A strong candidate for this position would demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, customer service, and dependability.
