Position Summary

USClaims is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and motivated Operations Analyst to join its team.

The ideal candidate has a background in loan processing, loan servicing, lending operations, or financial services, is naturally curious, analytical, and comfortable investigating the story behind the numbers. They can recognize patterns, ask thoughtful questions, and connect financial results with qualitative factors to form well-reasoned conclusions.

This role is responsible for evaluating USClaims' relationships with counterparties by reviewing funding activity, financial performance, recovery history, and operational risk factors. The analyst will prepare written evaluations, maintain accurate records, and support daily Risk Department operations.

Prior experience in litigation funding or risk management is not required. Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluations & Portfolio Review

Complete approximately 6-8 evaluations per day, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.

  • Review funding history, open exposure, collections, write-offs, and financial performance.
  • Analyze funding activity, lead conversion, and historical trends to identify changes in performance.
  • Prepare clear, concise written summaries highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Recommend and update rankings in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Work closely with Sales, Underwriting, Servicing, and other departments to resolve outstanding questions.

Risk Operations & Workflow Management

  • Manage the Risk Department's shared mailbox and respond in a timely manner.
  • Process requests related to rankings, new counterparty creation, due diligence, etc.

Research & Quality Control

  • Conduct online research to verify new counterparties, principal’s credentials, business registrations, and other relevant details.
  • Identify inconsistencies across documentation, internal records, and external sources.
  • Onboard new counterparties to CRM accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in CRM.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in financial operations, loan processing, loan servicing, lending operations, banking operations, or a similar financial services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, follow established procedures, and exercise sound judgment.
