The Junior Recruiter will support the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing candidates, conducting screenings, and managing the interview process. They will also assist with HR administration, onboarding, and maintaining talent pools while collaborating with managers to meet hiring needs.
Candidates should have an interest in a recruitment career, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. While not mandatory, education in recruitment or HR is considered an asset.
Vertex is accepting applications for a Junior Recruiter to join our HR team at our Sherwood Park office.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to begin a career in recruitment and learn the full recruitment cycle. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team of HR professionals who are happy to train, share their knowledge, and help you build your skills.
The day-to-day work follows a consistent recruitment process: reaching out to candidates, following up, conducting screens, and recording clear, accurate notes. Most candidate outreach and conversations happen by phone, often with people you haven’t spoken with before. You’ll need to feel comfortable initiating calls, speaking confidently with new people, and picking up the phone throughout the day. Depending on the role and stage of the process, you may also meet candidates through Microsoft Teams or in person.
While the core work is consistent, the positions you recruit for will vary across Vertex. You’ll learn about different roles, the skills they require, and the people our business needs.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch
Location: Sherwood Park office
