IT Project Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager / Business Analyst to take ownership of complex technology initiatives within a global, distributed environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned IT professional who combines strong project management, business analysis and IT service continuity expertise. You will play a key role in driving projects from initial planning through to successful delivery, while working closely with senior stakeholders, technical teams, business functions and external partners.

The role offers significant autonomy and visibility, with the opportunity to manage multiple initiatives, influence delivery decisions and contribute to projects that support business resilience and transformation.

Initial contract duration: 6 months

Responsibilities & Tasks

• Take end-to-end ownership of multiple IT projects, from initiation and planning through to successful delivery.

• Define project objectives, milestones, delivery plans, dependencies and success measures.

• Work with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into clear, achievable project outcomes.

• Lead requirements gathering, workshops and business analysis activities where required.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams, remote resources, external suppliers and senior stakeholders.

• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, scope, resources and change throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Support and lead initiatives relating to IT Service Continuity, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.

• Establish appropriate project governance, controls, reporting and decision-making processes.

• Monitor project budgets, resources, timelines and delivery performance.

• Identify potential delivery challenges early and implement effective mitigation and contingency strategies.

• Manage vendor and third-party relationships, ensuring agreed deliverables, timelines and quality standards are maintained.

• Produce clear project plans, dashboards, status reports and management information for senior stakeholders.

• Provide concise executive-level updates, highlighting progress, risks, key decisions and areas requiring attention.

• Apply Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery approaches depending on project requirements.

• Foster effective collaboration across geographically dispersed and culturally diverse teams.

• Drive projects towards measurable business outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on quality, governance and stakeholder satisfaction.

Requirements & Qualifications

We are looking for a senior professional with a strong combination of project delivery, analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Essential experience includes:

• 10+ years of IT experience within technology, digital or enterprise environments.

• 3+ years of experience in IT Service Continuity, Business Continuity and/or Disaster Recovery.

• Proven experience managing large-scale or complex IT projects from initiation through to delivery.

• Strong Business Analysis experience, including requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement and process analysis.

• Recognised project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2.

• Demonstrable experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies, changes, resources and governance.

• Strong financial and resource management capabilities.

• Proven experience managing external vendors, suppliers and delivery partners.

• Experience working with senior, international and multicultural stakeholders.

• Previous experience coordinating or leading remote and geographically distributed teams.

• Practical experience using Agile and traditional/Waterfall methodologies.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

• Strong presentation and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to executive audiences.

• Highly organised, proactive and confident working independently in a remote environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a structured and delivery-focused approach.
