The Business Analyst will own Opportunity-to-Order process improvements by analyzing needs, writing requirements, and coordinating technology delivery. They are responsible for managing UAT cycles, documenting workflows, and ensuring a clean handover to the permanent team.
Candidates must have proven experience in business analysis or sales operations, specifically with quoting and ordering processes. Strong skills in CRM systems, process mapping, and stakeholder management are required to succeed in this role.
Contract | Fully remote | South Africa Make quoting and ordering run better, then hand the work over cleanly.
A global Business Services team needs a hands-on Business Analyst to own Opportunity-to-Order improvements across quoting, ordering and related sales processes. ย You will take assigned requests from analysis through stakeholder agreement, technology delivery and UAT, so the Director can stay focused on Digital CPQ and Agentic AI process transformation.
You work independently from day one. The Director keeps prioritisation and final approval.
The role
You sit between country stakeholders, global sales operations and Information and Technology. The work is practical: understand the problem, write the requirement, line up the solution, test it, and leave usable documentation behind.
What you will do
Business analysis and continuous improvement
Work with country and global stakeholders to understand needs, investigate issues, find root causes and assess operational impact
Map current and proposed process steps, including dependencies across countries
Write clear business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
Develop practical improvement options and work with I&T so system solutions match the business need
Validate designs against agreed requirements, coordinate stakeholder alignment and prepare recommendations for approval
Track assigned requests through delivery, managing actions, dependencies and risks
UAT
Plan and coordinate UAT cycles, including scope, testers, test data, access and readiness
Work with SMEs to write test scenarios and scripts that cover business workflows, exceptions and acceptance criteria, with clear traceability to requirements
Support testers during working hours, monitor queries and coordinate resolution of blockers
Prepare evidence for business sign-off and escalate decisions and unresolved risks to the Director
Delivery and handover
Support assigned sales operations work, including master data management and sales process improvements
Keep requirements, process documentation, delivery trackers and stakeholder updates current
Coordinate with change and training where improvements affect users
Manage overlapping priorities independently and escalate capacity or delivery concerns early
Provide a structured handover to the permanent team once they are in place
Requirements
What you bring
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, or in a comparable sales operations improvement role, with the ability to own delivery from the start
Practical Opportunity-to-Order experience, covering quoting, ordering and the handoffs between sales, operations and technology
Experience with CRM systems and quoting tools, including how business processes are supported by those systems
Strong requirements analysis: capture needs, challenge assumptions and turn findings into clear, actionable requirements and acceptance criteria
Hands-on UAT experience, from test planning and scripts to coordinating testers and data, managing defects and preparing evidence for sign-off
Experience running continuous improvement or system enhancement requests through analysis, agreement, technology delivery and validation
Strong process mapping, problem-solving and documentation skills, with attention to detail and an eye for both country and global impact
Confident stakeholder management across business and technical teams, including facilitation across countries
Strong organisation and follow-through, and the ability to learn unfamiliar processes and systems quickly
Advantageous
Salesforce and CPQ experience. Other CRM and quoting platforms are equally welcome
Experience in a multinational organisation, shared services environment or global transformation programme
Exposure to process simplification, automation or AI-enabled improvements
A business analysis, process improvement or testing qualification. Equivalent practical experience is valued
What good looks like
Clear, agreed requirements ready for delivery. Well-prepared and supported UAT. Defects and blockers visible and resolved. Assigned improvements moving. Complete, usable documentation and a clean handover to the permanent team.
