Job Description:

At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we've tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it's supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we're not just here to move money— we're here to move our global customers forward.
We're looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that's you and you're ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.

About the Role:

As Senior Data Analyst, Compliance, you'll be a high-performing individual contributor on the broader analytics team, connecting business needs with technology. You'll turn business requirements into well-defined data products and own the full “Requirement-to-Reporting” lifecycle. That means making sure requirements are robust and detailed and that data engineers build the right foundations, while balancing data governance with business flexibility. This is a hybrid role (3 days per week onsite) based in our London office. You will report to the Senior Manager for Compliance Analytics & BI.

It is a 12-Month Fixed Term Contract.

You Will:

  • Partner with business leaders to pin down their core objectives and turn them into detailed functional specs and technical roadmaps.
  • Lead the definition of North Star metrics and KPIs, keeping departments aligned so you avoid data silos and conflicting definitions.
  • Own source-to-target mappings, logic flowcharts and business requirement documents (BRDs).
  • Find the internal and external data sources each business need requires, and run exploratory analysis to surface data gaps and quality issues.
  • Work closely with data engineers to design scalable pipelines, supplying the business logic and transformation rules.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), checking transformation logic and data integrity before anything goes to production.
  • Design and build reporting solutions (Tableau, Power BI or internal tools) that tell a meaningful business story, not just show charts.
  • Deliver data in a form the business can use, putting dashboard UX/UI first so non-technical users actually adopt it.

You Have:

  • 4–8+ years as a Senior Analyst or Analytics Consultant, focused on delivering data products end to end.
  • Strong first-principles thinking. You can take a vague request like “we need to increase retention” and break it into a structured data project with specific schemas, logic and metrics.
  • Skill with AI tools for prototyping SQL logic quickly, automating documentation and spotting where machine learning can improve traditional reporting.
  • Expert communication across technical and business audiences. You can talk JOIN logic and latency with engineers in the morning, then LTV and churn-reduction strategy with executives in the afternoon.
  • Expert SQL, plus Python or R for data exploration, validation and analysis, and working experience with dbt, Git or similar tools.
  • Deep skill in visualisation, dashboard building and performance optimisation, with hands-on experience in Tableau, Mode, Power BI or similar.
