About the Role

The Salesforce Business Systems Analyst is a delivery-focused analyst on the Salesforce product team. This analyst refines, documents, and validates approved Salesforce work across Sales, Warranty/Service, and Marketing, turning business needs into clear, testable user stories.

Salesforce connects with our custom quoting and configuration platform (SalesHub), our homeowner portal (MyAccount), and Marketing Cloud. This role refines the Salesforce backlog in Azure DevOps with the Senior Product Manager, Salesforce, who sets priority and accepts delivered work. New-solution discovery, vendor evaluation, and business cases are led by the Sr. Program Analysts in the Business Technology domain. Perry Homes does not build software for sale; the solutions you shape serve our teams and homebuyers directly.

What You'll Do

  • Gather and document requirements from Sales, Warranty/Service, and Marketing for approved Salesforce work, mapping processes such as lead-to-sale and the warranty case lifecycle.
  • Write user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria, including impact analysis across connected systems, and maintain traceability from requirement to test case to release.
  • Produce clear, structured requirements (requirements documents, user stories, process flows, and data/entity diagrams) that developers and AI-assisted tools can work from directly.
  • Refine and maintain the Salesforce backlog in Azure DevOps with the Senior Product Manager, Salesforce, keeping stories current, ready, and estimated. The Product Manager sets priority.
  • Recommend process changes and existing Salesforce capability and configuration before custom development and document options and tradeoffs for the Product Manager.
  • Create and maintain data mappings across Salesforce, SalesHub, the homeowner portal, and Marketing Cloud, and lead data reconciliation and data quality analysis with rules that prevent recurrence.
  • Provide Tier-2 support triage with administrators: set priority, route defects to the right team, and analyze tickets for root causes, classifying each as a training, process, configuration, or defect issue.
  • Maintain regression test scripts for critical business flows (such as lead intake and routing, call logging, warranty case submission, and quote handoff), and plan and coordinate UAT with business owners, tracking sign-off.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years as a business systems analyst or business analyst, including hands-on work with Salesforce.
  • Experience writing user stories and refining a backlog in Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar.
  •  Working knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Marketing cloud and Service Cloud data models and processes.
  • Declarative fluency (Flows, reports and dashboards, validation rules, role hierarchy) to prototype and size work.
  • Experience with data mapping, reconciliation, and data quality analysis across integrated systems, using Excel and SOQL or SQL.
  • Experience with UAT, regression testing, and release validation with business stakeholders.
