Scope


The Industrials team at Houlihan Lokey are looking to add a Financial Analyst in Frankfurt.

Financial Analysts work on transactions that provide exposure to various services, including M&A, private placements of debt and equity, refinancings, and leveraged buyouts.

Responsibilities
 

As a Financial Analyst, you will:

  • Prepare, analyze and help explain historical and projected financial information
  • Create financial models
  • Coordinate and perform business due diligence
  • Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations
  • Conduct research on sectors, companies and potential buyers
  • Value companies and businesses
  • Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients and prospective clients and professional advisors
  • Assist in planning of engagements

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Fluency in German and English required (verbal and written)
  • Strong Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of full-time experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) preferred, or otherwise Transactions Services consulting or corporate development
  • Experience in executing sell-side transactions
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory
  • Excellent understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with team members
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and hit deadlines in a highly organised manner
  • An independent, solutions-focused mind-set
  • An exceptional work ethic
